A butterfly collector is studying a species of butterfly that has expanded its range into a new area over the last thirty years. The butterflies in the new area feed on a species of flower that has a deeper throat than the flowers exploited by the butterfly species in its original range. The average length of the proboscis that is used to suck nectar from flowers is also greater in butterflies that inhabit the new area. The butterfly collector makes a very valid hypothesis saying that the butterflies have adapted and evolved to their surroundings by having longer proboscis.Evolution plays a key role in how animals survive, change and evolve according to their surroundings. It is no surprise that if the flowers grew longer, the butterflies would have to adapt their own body in order to reach the nectar. Once the butterflies adapted this trait to live, it was soon passed on to their offspring until all butterflies had longer proboscises which they needed to have in order to survive and live. Also since it was a new area where these flowers were, it is no surprise that the butterflies had to adapt to a new flower.Animals and humans adapt to their surroundings to make life easier to live. Another reason for why the butterflies had a longer proboscis could be because over time the butterflies evolved to have different organs in their bodies to be able to fight off different kind of prey and over time more and more butterflies adapted this trait. Also, over time the butterflies with this trait could use it to collect nectar from these different types of flowers that other butterflies couldn’t which made them the stronger butterflies and the other type slowly died off, only leaving butterflies with bigger proboscises alive.

They allow us perspective on the universal human condition, while also providing personally applicable insight and exploration. Gilgamesh Through Gilgamesh’s adventures, timeless themes of heroism, providence, love, friendship, and immortality are presented in a story of character growth. Gilgamesh possesses a potential for greatness that is realized through his friendship with Enkidu and his quests for renown and immortality† (Chastain, 2004, pg. 286). His journey begins in Uruk, where he reigns as a selfish and tyrannical king but ultimately, his journey brings him home to Uruk as a wiser, nobler king. He is an archetype of flawed heroism – undeniably courageous, but also undeniabl y imperfect. Using his famed fighting skills, he exploits the men of his own country and takes their brides at whim. The people of Uruk become so outraged at this indecency that they implore the gods for help. However, through the intervention of an older brother, Reuben, they opted instead to sell him to traveling merchants. He excelled in his environment and advanced quickly. â€Å"Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. From the moment he was put in charge, God blessed Potiphar’s household for Joseph’s sake. In the midst of favor and excellence, injustice reentered the scene in the form of Potiphar’s wife. Steadfast in his ethical obligation, Joseph refused the wife’s sexual allurement. This infuriated the jilted seductress and caused her to la sh out vindictively. She wrongfully accused Joseph of the very act he refused to commit. Once again, his life changed immediately in the heat of another’s scorn. He was promptly imprisoned. â€Å"But while Joseph was there in the prison, the LORD was with him; He showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden† (Genesis 37:19-20). Whether in a pit or in a prison, Joseph remained tethered to the bigger element of destiny. Providence used every scenario to nurture his latent aptitude in preparation for his eventual position of elevated authority. As in the preceding circumstances, Joseph proved himself trustworthy and was given a position of leadership within the prison. He was faithful and successful in all under his care. God blessed his labor. Joseph didn’t remain in the king’s dungeon long before divine purpose began drawing him out of injustice a second time. Trusting God, he interprets the dream of a prisoner under his care. He predicts that the man will soon be freed to return to the King’s palace as chief cupbearer. In return for such good news, Joseph asks that the cupbearer remember him and advocate his plight before the king. In gross negligence, the cupbearer forgets Joseph. It seems that he is the victim of inequality yet once again but two years later, Joseph is remembered. At the cupbearer’s insistence, Joseph is summoned to interpret the King’s dream. Giving God credit for any potential achievement, Joseph begins interpretation – a feat which no other man in Pharaoh’s court could manage. The king was so impressed by Joseph’s answer and demeanor that he immediately bestowed the young thirty-year-old with royal authority: Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you. (Genesis 41:39-40) The cycle of discrimination, favor and blessing had repeated itself once again. There should always be adequate spacing to allow the children to move freely without knocking over objects and causing harm to themselves or anyone else. Toys in the classroom should stimulate the children’s interest and be used as reference to indirectly teach life skills. Toys such as building blocks, beads, wooden trains and cars, and peg boards are fun for the children, and at the same time, they help the children strengthen everyday muscles that will be used in their everyday lives. â€Å"Objects have always played a role in educating children, but the concept of an educational device or toy to instill specific lessons is only about three hundred years old.† (Ogata) â€Å"Like the concept of the toy, notions of play, creativity, and childhood have been knit together as a modern construction. Embedded in historical and philosophical discussions of play, creativity has had close links with a belief in the positive effects of the human imagination.† The types of objects, or toys, which are stationed in the areas, will help to draw attention to the activities and reel in the children to engage in them. The use of technology has also been incorporated in the school system. Computer tablets and various educational software are used to help the children learn, too. Some children are familiar with different technology from the home environment and their interest is in the computer programs. (Ogata) Dramatic play in highly encouraged and the children should be provided with materials that reflect the home environment as much as possible. It is in the dramatic play area where teachers would most likely get familiar with the children as individuals. For some reason, the children â€Å"open-up† in this area than any other area. Children act out things they may have seen on television or in the home. They also pretend a lot in the dramatic play area. They may pretend to be a chef, cooking a great meal, a waitress, bringing someone some food, or maybe even a cashier, counting money and giving change. â€Å"Children love to move. Movement is a part of their lives from the very moment they are born. Children obtain joy and happiness through movement. There are many reasons for providing opportunities for children to move. It has been shown that prime learning and growth comes by and through movement (Andress, 1991). Movement is the primary form of expression from a childs earliest days. Even when speech becomes the major vehicle for expression, a child still falls back on gesture and movement for nuance and emphasis. It is through movement that the child very often finds the only means to manifest deeply felt emotions (Liselott, 1991). A preschool childs primary means of communication is through movement. Movement is both functional and meaningful. Children use movement instinctively, expressing their feelings, thoughts and desires through their bodies, in ways that are spontaneous and imaginative (Taylor, 1975). Creative movement promotes growth in many areas of development, including the physical, mental, social, and emotional. It allows children to develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and motor skill abilities. The effects of movement naturally overflow into other aspects. Stimulation of these skills and abilities allows children to apply them to the learning of other subjects (Clements, 1995; Gilbert, 1992; Pica, 1990a, 1997, 2000).† (Wang) The curriculum should include activities that present the opportunity for each child to participate and be included in them. Because children move around so much and enjoy it, it only makes sense to include movement into the areas to enhance learning. For Math, an activity that allows the children to move and learn would be very successful, such as â€Å"Hop-Scotch†. It can be played with shapes, numbers, or colors. In the Science area, the children can be engaged in some outside play that allows them to investigate the weather and nature, such as kite flying or simply let the children pretend to be the wind. They can also stand still and see if the wind is strong enough to blow them out of their spot and then try to run against a strong wind. A Reading activity that would be beneficial to the children would be to toss bean bags on target letters and make the sound of the letter when the bean bag lands on it. To enhance the learning, the letters can then be exchanged with sight words. For fine Arts, the children can use different objects to paint, such as spray bottles, water balloons, eye droppers, sponges, and their body (hands and feet) to create works of art. Children should not be restricted to simply using paint brushes to express their artistic interests. They may even think of things on their own to paint with. The teacher in the classroom is expected to be engaged in the activities, as well. Many children adapt to situations by seeing someone else go through them. By having the teachers model the activities for the children and explain as he/ she goes, the children receive a visual note of the activity, as well as an auditory note. The teacher helps to set the tone for the classroom, so if the children see the teacher enjoying activities and having fun, the chances of the children wanting to get involved in it would increase greatly. Parents play huge parts in the children’s education, too. Without the additional help from parents, the teachers’ jobs are far more strenuous than if there were cooperating parents helping the children to further their education through activities that have been expanded to the home environment. The teachers and parents work together to keep the children interested in learning and also lets the children know that they have support when needed to help them. The teacher and the parents can collaborate to enhance the children’s learning experience by having the teacher send home material and suggestive activities that coincides with the curriculum for the month. Daily, or perhaps weekly progress reports can be sent home to fill in the parents about what their child/ children have learned, will be learning the following day or week, and what the parents can do to help out. Maybe once a month, there could be parent meetings or training to give the parents some support about their child/ children’s education and how they can help out. Using the Creative curriculum and the Waldorf approach would help to make the children’s learning experience fun and allow them to express themselves creatively and learn at the same time. By incorporating interesting activities and providing materials that spark the children’s interest and allow them to manipulate them and explore them on their own, the children’s learning experience will be very pleasant and one to remember. Capital Shape Alphabet Encoding Based Text Steganography A Capital Shape Alphabet Encoding (CASE) Based Text Steganography Approach Abstract Steganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no one, apart from the sender and intended recipient, suspects the existence of the message. Steganography is a form of security through obscurity. Steganography algorithms uses cover media such as text, image, audio and video etc. to hide the data. User relies on change in the structure of these mediums and features of the target medium in such a manner as is not identifiable by human. In this paper we also present and evaluate my contribution to design the new approach for text Steganography and named it as CASE (Capital Alphabet Shape Encoding) approach. This approach is a combination of random character sequence and feature coding method. Keywords- Steganography; features; encoding; decoding; cover text. Steganography means conceal communication. It is derived from a work by Johannes Trithemus (1462-1516) titled Steganographia. The word Steganography comes from Greek and meaning of steganography is concealed writing. Steganography is used to transmit a message through some innocuous carrier i.e. text, image, audio or video over a communication channel in order to effectively conceal the existence of the message. Text steganography is a process to hide the secret information within text (i.e. character based) messages. Text steganography is the most difficult kind of steganography [1]. Text steganography is considered as difficult one is due to the lack of redundant information in a text file, while there is a lot of redundancy in a picture or a sound file, which can be used in steganography [1] [2]. For text steganography there are many methods available [3] [4]. Some method change format of text while some method change actual word to hide secret data. White space is used to hide secret data, in open space methods [5], while in syntactic method punctuations are used to hide secret data [5]. In acronyms method [2] and semantic method [4], actual word or phrase replacement is used to hide secret data. By using characteristics of that particular language data is hidden in Persian/Arabic Text steganography [4] and Hindi Text steganography [6]. If we use open space methods [6] or feature coding method [4] in text steganography, and if somehow format of file is changed then it results in data loss. In acronyms and semantic method, meaning of information can be changed because these methods use actual word replacement or punctuation to hide secret data. So a method is needed by which secret data survive after changing format of file and meaning of text will not changed. So considering some problems like format changing, changing meaning of secret data, etc. in existing text steganography methods; we have proposed new CASE approach for text steganography. We have used text features of English letters to hide secret data. Letters of English alphabet based on kind of round shape or curve, vertical and horizontal line are grouped in first approach. Like some letters in English language contains kind of close round shape or curve. Like some letters in English contains only one straight vertical line. In second approach, we are grouping numbers and symbols. In CASE categorization, based on different text features of English letters we categorize English letters into eight groups. We have studied the implementation some existing methods mentioned in paper [4] and we have compared these methods with proposed CASE approach. In the proposed CASE approach randomness is used but it aids to provide more security to secret information. For various existing method s and proposed CASE approach we have measured number of bytes hide, time overhead and memory overhead. Our results shows that, very less time overhead and memory overhead is required to implement proposed CASE approach compared to existing methods, and also we can hide more number of bytes using proposed approach. Required cover text size is also very small in proposed approach. In this approach, we introduce new encoding technique to hide the secret message in cover text. We will call this technique Capital Alphabet Shape Encoding (CASE). In this method every character of secrete message is encoded in the form of 8-bit binary number after that the equivalent ASCII character is replace the original character. In this the left most 0th bit will represent the alphabet group or digit/symbols group (0 value for alphabet set and 1 value for digit or symbols). In case of alphabet we made eight groups of English letters based on features of letters. While making group we consider only Capital letters of English alphabet. The left most 1st, 2nd, 3rd bit of 8 bit number represents the group number. The next 4th bit will represent the sentence case of letter. If it is 1, than it represents upper case letter and if its 0 than letter will be lower case letter. Table I, II, III shows eight bit encoding format of alphabets, digits and symbols. In this approach all alphabets are divided into groups and every alphabet has its position in corresponding group. This position will represent the last three bit of 8-bit number. By using this approach, we can hide all eight bits of one letter of secret message into one letter of cover text at a time. As shown in Table1, in first group, we include neither those letters which have round shape or any curve and nor vertical and horizontal straight line. We can use any letter from this group to hide 000 bit. Candidates for this group are V, W, X, Y. In second group, we include those letters which have one or two vertical straight line. We can use any letter from this group to hide 001 bit. Candidates for this group are K, M and N. In the third group, we include those letters which have only one or more horizontal straight line. We can use any letter from this group to hide 010 bit. Candidates for this group are A and Z. In forth group, we include those letters which have both one and more than one straight vertical and horizontal line. We can use any letter from this group to hide 011 bit. Candidates for this group are E, F, H, I, L and T. In fifth group, we include those group, we include those letters which have only curve or round shape. We can use any letter from this group to hide 100bit. Candidates for this group are C, O, Q, S and U. In sixth group, we include those letters which have both curve and straight vertical line. We can use any letter from this group to hide 101bit. Candidates for this group are B, D, P and R. In seventh group, we include those letters which have curve and straight horizontal line. We can use any letter from this group to hide 110 bit. Candidate for this group is G. In last but not the least eighth group, we include those letters which have curve, and both straight vertical and horizontal line. We can use any letter from this group to hide 111 bit. Candidate for this group is J. For example if the secret letter is H then by using CASE approach it will be encoded as 00111010 and its ASCII equivalent is 58 which is given by :. After encoding, now letter : will be mixed up with the cover text. And this letter will hides all the 8 bits of original letter H into cover text. 2.1. Hiding the Message In the CASE text stenography approach, first we encode all the characters of the secret message with new proposed encoding technique which is based on the shape of the alphabet characters. Second we hide this message with the cover text by mixing it with the contents of cover text, i.e. first we encode the secret character and then we perform process of finding the ASCII equivalent of the 8-bit format of the secret character and hide it with the contents of cover text. To hide it or embed it with the cover text, we made a new technique. In this technique we encode the first three letter of the cover text by using CASE approach and then count the bits having value 1. This count value is the key value for hiding the data. After calculating the key value message is mixed up, one character of message comes after key number character of cover text and this process of embedding are repeated until whole message is hidden in the cover text. For implementation of CASE approach we develop two algorithms for hiding and retrieving which are implemented in JSP using NetBeans IDE. 3.1. In this paper, we have proposed new approach for text-based steganography for English language texts. In this approach, we exploit the shapes of the English characters to hide secret bits. Based on our survey of the existing Text Steganography approaches, we show that our proposed approach can hide more number of bytes, it has very small cover text and required very less time overhead as compare to other techniques. Our analysis reveals that our approach imparts increased randomness in encoding because of which the same cannot be attacked easily. This approach is applicable to the soft-copy texts as well as hard-copy texts. In addition, the proposed approach is also immune to retyping and reformatting of text. However, one of the weaknesses of the proposed approach is that once known about their applicability, they can easily be attacked. Hence, it is essential to keep the application of a particular approach to a particular data set secret, while using them. 5. References M.
